Preparing for a Spiritual Consultation

By Sanjay S Jain(Guru Ji) · 28 December 2025

A little preparation helps you get the most from a consultation. Here's how to arrive open, focused and ready for meaningful guidance.

A good consultation is a conversation, not a performance. You don't need any special knowledge to benefit — but a little preparation helps you arrive focused and get the most from your time.

Before your session, it helps to reflect on what is prompting you to seek guidance. Is there a specific decision, a season of change, or a recurring pattern you'd like to understand? Writing down two or three questions in advance often brings surprising clarity on its own.

Come as you are. There are no wrong questions and nothing is too small. A thoughtful practitioner will meet you with warmth and patience, and will always pair traditional terms with plain-English explanations so you never feel lost.

After the session, give yourself a little quiet time to let the guidance settle. The most useful insights are the ones you can act on gently, in your own time — so focus on one or two practical next steps rather than trying to change everything at once.

Remember that guidance is here to support your own judgement, never to replace it. You remain the author of your decisions; a consultation simply offers a clearer, calmer perspective.
